The “Fox Nothing Channel”

Finally, someone (Keith Olberman) has the gumption to call FOX out for what it really is: Illegitimate propaganda. Not that that is going to do anything, since Fox will fire right back with the same discrediting doublespeak they’re famous (and popular) for, but at least he’s said what we’ve all been thinking, you know, on TV.

UPDATE: The Crooks and Liars video link is now down. Learn more about this here.

As satisfying as it is to blatantly prove the cocky bully wrong, more needs to be done on our part to get America back to a functioning state. We allow outlets like Fox News to spread a destructive form of cultural relativism, which makes it impossible for reality to prevail amongst the seething wash of acidic assumptions, backed by nothing but a heavily makeuped talking head.

Sure, we’ve got the “Daily Show” and the “Colbert Report,” but these only allow light heartedness not conducive to the extreme outrage we should all be feeling at every moment of every day. We have become passive observers in our own lives, and this is the reason Fox News has been able to maintain its faux credibility for such an absurd amount of time.
This is far from a battle cry, but simply a recognition of the acquiescent virus that has infected our society. Humor has its place. But so does revolution.
