Idiots vs. Idiot vs. You (Also an Idiot)

Sure, watching untalented douchebags prove just how douchey they really are is about as fantastic as television entertainment gets these days. But as TVWeek.com reported, “Coverage of the president’s State of the Union Address blanketed the 9 p.m. hour among all the major networks, while “American Idol” at 8 p.m. earned a higher rating than all four network airings of the Address combined.” What the fuck is wrong with you? Have things really become so dire that it required you to change the channel after the last untalented every-man was escorted out of the audition room? An hour of your time is so precious that listening to the prospects of our country can’t make the cut? I don’t know what it is that has caused this caustic complacency that is currently plaguing our population, but it is time for a change. Not just in our leaders, but in us.
